We believe the Bible clearly teaches us that baptism is one of the first steps of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows us to communicate to the world our heart-felt commitment to Christ. Baptism times are scheduled throughout the year.
A. Simply put, baptism is an outward display and celebration of your inward decision to trust Christ with your eternity. It’s an act of obedience that represents Jesus dying on the cross and being raised from the dead so that each of us can have eternal life (Romans 3:23, 6:23).
A. Baptism is for all those who have committed themselves to Jesus Christ as their Lord by trusting in Him. For this reason, we do not baptize babies or very small children who are too young to make a conscious decision to follow Christ.
A. The greek word baptizo literally means to immerse or dunk. Jesus was immersed (Mathew 3:13-17), and the early church was immersed (Acts 2:41).
